This press release about a forced marriage roadshow resulted in several victims coming forward to ask for help.
Heroes Wanted – Safer Poole Begins its Search for this Year’s John Jay Shield Winners Published on the Borough of Poole website and distributed to local media in December 2015, resulting in wide media coverage and seven quality nominations from the public.
Karma Nirvana and Forced Marriage Unit to Bring Biggest Roadshow Yet to Dorset Distributed to local media and published on the Dorset Police website on 2 June 2014, resulting in wide print and broadcast coverage. At least one victim came to get help in person and many more phoned the Karma Nirvana helpline after seeing the media reports.
Teenage Domestic Abuse the Focus of Dorset-Wide Campaign Published on the Borough of Poole and Dorset Police websites and distributed to local media on 28 November 2013, resulting in wide local coverage and more than double the number of hits to the campaign web page.
